González-Sinde pide por carta la baja como socia de la SGAE
La ministra de Cultura en funciones, Ángeles González-Sinde, ha remitido a la Sociedad General de Autores y Editores (SGAE) una carta en la que solicita la baja como socia. Al parecer, el plazo para realizar la liquidación de sus cuentas en la entidad es de tres meses. Como la carta llegó en septiembre, cumpliendo esa normativa, la baja será efectiva a principios de año.
30-11-2011 - JESÚS GARCÍA CALERO / MADRID / ABC.- En la entidad, que confirmó anoche la noticia a ABC, la llegada de la misiva causó sorpresa y no se ha comprendido bien «por qué una persona con tanta responsabilidad en el mundo de la cultura decidió dar un paso tan drástico» coincidiendo con el momento en el que la SGAE apuntaba hacia la recuperación, con asambleas para su refundación convocando nuevas elecciones y nombrando un grupo de 15 personas con la misión de cambiar los estatutos y democratizar la entidad. «No se entiende muy bien el sentido de esta jugada de la ministra», confesaban a este diario, no sin amargura, desde la SGAE.
La ministra tenía una vieja relación con la SGAE, puesto que fue una de los cineastas que protagonizó una secesión y fundó DAMA (Derechos de Autor de Medios Audiovisuales), otra gestora que denunció en 1999 que la SGAE no les retribuía, como socios, debidamente. Pero, después de ser presidenta de la Academia de Cine y una vez llegada al Ministerio, González-Sinde ingresó de nuevo en SGAE, y así lo confirmó a los periodistas, tras una información en ABC en julio pasado. Diversas fuentes apuntan a la posibilidad de que ahora la ministra regresará a DAMA.
Hasta el último papel
Desde septiembre, también, el equipo técnico de su Ministerio exige hasta el último papel a la SGAE para controlar la gestión de la entidad después de años en los que la propia ministra defendía que esa era una misión de las comunidades autónomas. Como los lectores recordarán, tanto en el sumario de la Operación Saga como en el informe encargado por la propia SGAE se subraya la dejación de la función fiscalizadora desde el Ministerio durante mucho tiempo. Ahora la meticulosidad en la petición de información es tan superlativa que tiene asombrados a los gestores de la entidad. Fuentes políticas indican que tal vez la ministra quiera dejar la documentación completada al máximo antes de cesar o lanzar un mensaje de rigor a quien dejó a su Ministerio en evidencia.
Por si fuera poco, ayer, en Bruselas, González-Sinde declaró que «la SGAE había generado una desconfianza absoluta en todo lo que tenía que ver con la propiedad intelectual, y eso es una gran pérdida para el país».
